More than ever, the most important element in a recording studio is the experience and ears of the person running your recording project. JAM Studios is owned and run by Multi-instrumentalist Music Producer Martin Quinn who has over 25 years experience in the recording business.
On Production: "Artist are looking for a lot more these days than someone who sets up a mic and hits record. I try to take a hands on approach, helping the artist through the recording process, keeping a critical ear for problems, while offering ideas and crafting the music right through to the finished product". It all starts with a conversation or email. This is when I start learning what the artist is trying to achieve and its important that I get on the same wavelength as them so we are all moving in the right direction.
As a musician, Martin was an original member of Irish band "Little Palace". He is also a live session musician and has toured for acts like Tommie Fleming, TURN, Canadian Tenors, Liam Lawton, Eimear Quinn,Fionnuala Gill, Fiona Melady, Celtic Tenors, Rosin O'Reilly, Brendan Perry and many more. On the live scene he's played everywhere from Dublin's Olympia theatre through to Carnegie Hall in New York and Amsterdam Concertgebouw! His primary instruments are Guitar and Bass with Keyboards as a secondary instrument. Other instruments include Vocals, Percussion, Double Bass, Mandolin, Steel Guitar.
